About Me

My name is Heather and this blog is mostly a collection of my  liberal, atheist, nerdy, feminist, animal-loving, childfree, Trekkie, random, artsy, unapologetic, country-music-hating viewpoints, thoughts and opinions. I could probably add a few more adjectives but I'll just categorize the rest of them under the heading of random.

I decided to start blogging when I moved across the country and most of the people who appreciated hearing my rants were more than 2,700 miles away. I also showcase some of my better photos here.

I am a photographer, I will probably never make a living taking pictures, but I love doing it. I recently completed a 365 project and I feel way more comfortable behind, and in front of, the camera than I did a year ago.

I grew up moving around a lot, but we eventually settled in Ogden, Utah. When I was 17 I left for college in Price, Utah, where I met Les. He kindly waited two weeks for me to turn 18 before asking me out and we have been together ever since. We were married in October of 2006 and have lived in Price, Utah; Vernal, Utah; Ardenvoir, Washington and we are currently living in Mt. Morris, New York with our two dogs and two cats. I have a degree in Journalism that I have never used, I work at Goodwill by night and am a legal assistant by day.
